Jinju city (public school high school) experience
Hi Soon~
All is well here. We are still on break and I
have been working 8-pm monday-Friday.
I like the atmosphere so far and have no
complaints. Everyone is really friendly and
I'm happy that I chose to come here. I
think that I made a good decision and I
thank you for your help. We will be
starting classes on the 25th of this month
and after that I will be able to tell you
more about my experience as far as
teaching.
Jinju is a great city with beautiful sites but
like you said it is really small~ I look
forward to exploring it more. I need to get
a moped or a bike so I can get around at
my free will.
Take care and thanks for your help~

Busan Experience (childen academy)
Hello,
I am doing pretty good thanks, everything
is to my liking so far. I really enjoy the
culture and the city, and my job is going
really well so far.
I could go without the heat (yes it's
extremely humid) but it makes for good
beach weather.
I've met a lot of friends pretty quickly, as
most of the people I have met are very
friendly.
School is busy for the teachers so I can't
even imagine how busy it must be for the
students going to school all day.
So yes - everything is going well and my
school has been very helpful in getting me
all set up.
Thanks again,
Blake from Canada 08.01. 2008

Namyangju city-public school teaching experience...
"Being at a public school isn't bad. It's
actually not too different from public
schools back in America except students
are better behaved here and more
respectable from what I've seen. I haven't
visited or talked with anyone that works at
a private school or institute. Assume you'll
have to teach a larger number of students
in a public school class since students need
to pass the english course just like any
other course, to move further on in
school. The only thing difficult is the
students will all want you to try
remembering their names which is hard
when I can't read Korean name tags yet.
I'm enjoying it though and you'll always
come across an interesting group of
students there."

experience teaching in KOREA
Hello again, sorry for the delay in sending
this.
I just wanted to let you know that I arrived
in Seoul with no problems (Singapore
Airlines in incredible) and the move into
the apartment and the school has been
great so far. I start observations today and
start teaching next week.
I also wanted to thank you very much for
all your help and patience in this whole
process! I really appreciate it. I'll definitely
be telling people about GMSC. (Did a girl
named Natalie contact you yet?)
Thanks again,

teaching experience in Korea
Hi Soon Chan,
I just wanted to write to thank you for
placing me with this school. I am having
an amazing time in Korea and I really love
the teaching.
Even though I have only been here for 5
months, I am already considering staying
for another year - although I'm not 100%
sure. However, I have heard that there is
some new legislation now involving a
Health Verification check and a criminal
record check. I was wondering if you
could give me some information about
what is needed now for the Visa and also
how I would go about gaining such checks
from the UK - I am from Northern Ireland.
Any information you could provide me with
would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Judy,Thank you for your email - I was
surprised that I hadn't heard from GMSC
since just before I left Australia! I am
really enjoying my life here so far. My job
is everything it was promised to be and I
have been well looked after by the Korean
staff at ECC. I have had no problems
settling in and am very happy to be in
Korea. Thanks for checking in. Amy
